Web comics are an interesting creature, I never used to read them, but now find myself having several RSS feeds of lovely comics that fill my life with smiles and laughter. The one thing I noticed however is in the short yet growing list of ones I read, the vast majority are indeed stick figures, but the jokes are work the simplistic art. It started with XKCD, which is AMAZING. Shortly followed by both Cyanide and Happiness, and Randy's comic Something Positive. I have known Randy for a little while but never read his comic, then I discovered how amazing it really was. Now I have read a few others but not regularly because I forgot to paste the link somewhere useful to keep track, but hop to find these again, and put them someplace so I can continue to enjoy them. 2P START! is a good video game comic and HandRooster is another good one although it hasn't been updated since April 22. Today I found a new one, well new to me, going on the stick figure more of a C&H than XKCD but in black and white, simple, it is a middle ground of the two really, some smart jokes, but mostly offensive un-politically correct, and lets face it, I need more rape jokes in my life as much as this sentence is a long ass run-on. The comic is called Another Random day. So everyone should check it out as well as the others mentioned, and if anyone has a comic they read and want to share linkage with me, I would enjoy it immensely, I am enjoying my trip down web comic hell and need more, more more. |
